By default, Alpaca attempts to automatically inject itself into a logical place in your theme. However, you can override the default placement by following these steps. Please note that this is an advanced tutorial, and you’ll need to modify small snippets of HTML in order to complete these steps.
Navigate to the Online Store section of your Shopify admin, and click the Customize button for your Live theme. Select the Alpaca section on the left-hand side.
Scroll down until you see a field titled Delivery methods placement. This fields accepts a CSS selector, and Alpaca will inject the theme integration immediately before any matches to this CSS selector. Enter .alpaca-injection
into this field, and then click Save.
Next, open up the Code editor by selecting Theme Actions and then Edit code.
Select the file which contains the HTML of where you want to inject the Alpaca theme integration. This would often be in cart.liquid
or cart-template.liquid
. Find the exact line where you want to inject Alpaca, and then paste the following code:
<div class="alpaca-injection"></div>
Done! Now Alpaca should appear in the new designated area.
