Occasionally, customers will attempt to pick up items that aren’t available for pickup, or select delivery for items that aren’t available for delivery. Alpaca has a built-in feature which will prompt users to remove ineligible items from their cart before placing their order.
Here’s a preview of what your customers will see when they attempt to checkout with an ineligible delivery cart:
To enable this feature, navigate to the Online Store section of your Shopify admin and then select the Customize button for your Live theme. Select the Alpaca section on the left-hand side, and ensure that Prevent mixed carts is selected.
This feature requires that your store will Show rates if any product is available for pickup
and Show rates if any product is available for delivery
. You can find these options in Alpaca’s Settings page, below the Pickup and Delivery tabs, respectively. If these options aren’t selected, then pickup or delivery won’t appear as delivery methods on your cart page, unless the entire cart is eligible for that delivery method.
