Prevent out-of-stock inventory when checking out

Occasionally, customers will attempt to purchase items that are out-of-stock at their selected location (whether it’s a pickup location or a delivery from one of your locations). Alpaca has a feature which will check to make sure items are in stock at the selected location before allowing customers to check out.
To enable this feature, navigate to the Online Store section of your Shopify admin and then select the Customize button for your Live theme. Select the Alpaca section on the left-hand side, and ensure that Verify location inventory is selected.
Now, when a customer attemps to purchase items from a location that doesn’t have inventory, they will be prompted to remove out-of-stock items or choose another delivery method.
Note: this feature doesn’t support Shopify shipping rates at the moment, since Alpaca isn’t able to verify which location an order will be shipped from.
